You see, the fact that we got a Hoobastank song this week that wasn't a #1 single and a band that is at about the same popularity level as 10 Years, gives me hope that we'll see 10 Years someday even if it is just "Wasteland" in one of these variety singles weeks we've been getting. "Wasteland" is 10 Years' only #1 hit, Chevelle has had like 4 #1 singles, and Sevendust I don't think has any, but c'mon, they're freakin' Sevendust! One of the most influential bands in today's modern hard rock/metal scene.

I thought Beautiful hit 1... I know I heard a lot of hoobastank on the radio back in the day... most the reason and crawling in the dark... but still never heard 10 years on the radio at all![]()

Close, "Beautiful" got to #6 as well as "Shoot It Out". I thought "Fix Me" had potential to be a #1 hit (the song was practically designed to be), but it only got to #10. And from listening to the new album these past two days, there won't be any #1 hits coming from it, but "Wasteland" is by far and away 10 Years' most well-known and popular song. "Beautiful" was the first song I heard by 10 Years on Fuse (you know, back when they played rock music or any music at all for that matter) and I remember not liking it at all and it wasn't until about 2 years later I came back to them after randomly buying The Autumn Effect at Best Buy and ended up loving them and they're now probably in my top 15 favorite bands of all time.
Yeah, but Minus The Machine... not feeling it as much as I thought I would and it feels like the anti-Feeding The Wolves. "Forever Fields (Sowing Season)" is going to be stuck in my head for awhile though. It's definitely most similar to the Division album. More mellow, not as up-beat as Feeding The Wolves and much more experimentation on 10 Years' part. A lot more progressive style song progressions, more acoustic guitars, piano, and strings... good album, not great though, but I'll have to see how it grows on me in the long run.
