    I really think someone just decided to make it up one day to describe bands like Coheed and Muse.Crossover Prog fits Coheed,but i'd just call Muse alternative rock,to be honest with you.

    I'd say they're both Crossover Prog, but really, it's bands like Mew and Oceansize are where things get tricky, as they're both very heavy into post-rock as well (although, if you look at it from that perspective, they're really the perfect fit for a "post-prog" label).

    I only say that because Muse seems to be drastically moving away from Prog,whereas Coheed has moved towards it a great deal over their last 3 albums.

    I'd agree with you on Muse until they released the Exogenesis Symphony at the end of The Resistance.
