do people even use google for searching for torrents? why not just use a torrent site and bypass google completely? there are loads of acceptable (even if they're ****) torrent sites: ScrapeTorrent, TPB, Demonoid, IsoHunt (sometimes)

As for the Google ban thing, I don't see it lasting for long. Looks like it will have too many legal hoops for the company to jump through to bother with, once official complaints start coming in. In addition, as people mentioned, when Google starts getting less traffic, they'll drop it.

I don't really see what all the fuss is about, who cares if it doesn't show up in instant search? It takes about 2 seconds to actually do the search, if people actually want to find it this won't stop them.

Also, MediaFire and The Pirate Bay aren't on the list, so again I say: Who cares?
