agreed, I've never been a fan of them, and made a backsash comment on a p4k post about them winning and instantly I had a ****load of hate mail.

Also, inb4 CCR-bashing or whatever, but I enjoyed The Suburbs a bit. Not an absolutely amazing album, but I liked it.

Never listened to the band other than the song that won in the current Indie/Alt thread.

Also, I don't understand why the title track on Humanity is the Devil is so damn long. I could understand if there was stuff going on, but the long period of silence makes the song unnecessarily long in my eyes.

Memes are a great cover for intelligence... if one can't be cogent, you can get by for a bit simply by confusing the bejeebers out of anyone else.

Seeing the internet as a vast conglomeration of idiot savants explains a lot, though.

I guess "not pissing too many people off" is the new standard for critical acclaim.
