agreed, I've never been a fan of them, and made a backsash comment on a p4k post about them winning and instantly I had a ****load of hate mail.

I'm laughing at people who think this band is "new" or "exciting"

Never listened to the band other than the song that won in the current Indie/Alt thread.

Also, I don't understand why the title track on Humanity is the Devil is so damn long. I could understand if there was stuff going on, but the long period of silence makes the song unnecessarily long in my eyes.

Yeah, the bonus material on Humanity is pretty unnecessary.

Memes are a great cover for intelligence... if one can't be cogent, you can get by for a bit simply by confusing the bejeebers out of anyone else.

Seeing the internet as a vast conglomeration of idiot savants explains a lot, though.

I like Funeral and The Suburbs well enough. Neon Bible is horrendous, though.

In any case, I know a few people around here don't like them.

I enjoyed screwing around with people on Yahoo Chat or whatever forum I fancied at the time, but then all the dumb, unfunny people spoiled everything.

Take out that silence and you have a pretty sweet song, quite enjoyed the active parts and the album overall is very solid.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's definitely inoffensive on a grand scale.

I guess "not pissing too many people off" is the new standard for critical acclaim.
