Blech, I feel like an arrogant ***** after that Pains of Being Pure at Heart review. I'd like some feedback, positive or (mostly, I assume) negative to kind of guide me towards some inspiration. Also, any albums HoR thinks I might want to pan in a review? I'm trying to get some negativity out now so I don't feel bad when I start throwing out my 4-4.5s here in a couple days.

Thank you, everyone for your comments. It's good to know that it's presentable. Once again, I'm keeping all of my show stuff there from now on, so if you want to keep up with my radio experience, you can follow that and comment there. I should be keeping it up to date.

Gama Bomb is pure cheesy thrashy fun. I would definitely recommend giving Citizen Brain a whirl. I can't even play my favorite tracks off the album due to indecency rule, haha.

Speaking of Joy Division, has anyone read that biography of Ian Curtis that his wife wrote?
I read it when it first came out, IIRC it wasn't a very flattering look at Ian, although it did make him a bit more human than his legend allows.
Does anyone chart anymore? le sigh.

Excited about the Fleetwood Mac pack next week. However, with that, I have the likely unpopular opinion that The Smashing Pumpkins do a better version of Landslide.

I've heard a big theme of the book is that she believes that his life was personally engineered by him to be the way it was... in other words, he wanted to die young, wanted to, I believe the words were "construct his own personal hell".

I also prefer the Smashing Pumpkins version of that song. In addition to that, I hold the very unpopular pinion that Hole did a better version of Gold Dust Woman

So my friends are kind of astonished at how many movies I've seen, going by my FB poll results for which movies on AFI's top 100 you've seen.

What can I say, I like film.

Same here, just another thing to add to my wishlist when I pick up a PSN card. It would be nice to get some Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac at some point, but I don't see that happening.
