Where i come from that is ridiculously common.I've gotten in two Car-Deer accidents, and i am a great driver,if I say so myself.

I've been in a few "accidents" before, which was actually other peoples fault...I'm in constant agony as a result, huzzah!

I've never been in an accident, but I've only had a license for about 10 months, most of which were spent without a car at college.

That deer ruined my perfect record, too. He came out of the trees, man.

Needless to say, the fact that I was able to break quickly enough to not kill the deer (although he may have died later, I hope not) didn't much matter to my mom, who's car it was. It could have been worse

Tell her this, it was the car or your life.
Only a heartless witch would prefer the car.

Maybe, but I think it's really unlikely to die hitting a deer. But I wouldn't know. I suppose I could have swerved and hit the tree instead?

Of course, at the speed the deer jumped out, I barely had time to break, much less swerve.

I hear they're doing a show in New York that covers their whole career for free, though, so I'm thinking of checking that one out.
It's on that same tour and in support of the new album, so I assume it's going to be a more traditional TMBG show.

Haven't been in an accident yet, been in a couple situations where I could have died if I was hit, I've had a tire blowout in front of me, an SUV flip in front of me, and I've nearly rolled my car because a jackass didn't realize how 2-way stops work and the road was wet.

All nerds are smart nerds. You're thinking of dweebs, or maybe dorks. Unlike geeks, nerds usually specialize in practical intellectual pursuits, rather than pop culture curiousities.

Speaking of "bad social skills", did you ever notice that those types usually have little issue relating to one another on a social level? That just might mean that the issue isn't their bad social skills, it's everyone else's bad social skills towards them. Just sayin...

That's true, I'm antisocial as hell, so I'm definitely not a person to judge social skills.

And yeah, I am thinking of dorks, though that word is a bit less common, it seems. Still, I thought the ones that pursued intellectual pursuits were geeks, and nerds were the ones who excelled at academics and had "bad" social skills.

Then again, I'm pretty sure they're all pretty interchangeable anyway

LOL as with everything linguistic, it's all semantic. Blue isn't blue because its wavelength is 450 nm, it's blue because we said it's blue.
