Led Zeppelin never really caught on with me. I've never disliked them, but there has never been a point in my life where I liked them more than moderately.

Right, so many more bands of that era worth listening to over them in my mind. Ever since I've been discovering more artists of that period, I don't find the need to listen to them anymore.

I listen to a couple of their songs occasionally, but I'm not fond of them as an album band.

Speaking of Blue Cheer, do you know which other bands (if any) that any members of the band have been part of are worth checkout out? There are couple of bands in particular that caught my interest from the name (Mint Tattoo, The Other Half) and I was wondering if you were familiar with them.

Zeppelin's one of those bands pretty much everybody likes in their phase of classic rock praise, before discovering all the lesser known bands of history. Some people end up dismissing them (and many other bands of their ilk, Cream, Floyd, Doors, etc.), others don't. I don't listen to them nearly as much as I once did, but I still enjoy them a fair bit. Guess I never really OD'd on any of those bands enough to hate them now.

Zeppelin is just so...classic I guess. I've never been head over heels in love but I will say that they have very few songs that I actually dislike. Houses of the Holy though is a perfect album.

Also Jimmy Fallon's Neil Young impression is so great.

I really OD'd on Zeppelin and Hendrix before I started listening to the Floyd and other assorted prog bands. I still enjoy them, but not as much as I used to.

And yes, Houses of the Holy is by far the best Zeppelin album.
We need sludgey and droney and stonery metal:
