I think I actually prefer the control and destroy ending to the hypothetical sunshine and rainbows ending that the fans are clamoring for; as I said, I never disliked the overall premise, just the execution. Execution is still not anything resembling perfect, but it's satisfactory, as far as I'm concerned.

I dislike the synthesis ending, not for moral reasons, but because it's a deux ex machina to the highest degree. Not that the others aren't, but synthesis is in a class by itself.

Just found out I'm going to be playing drums for a band put together by John Fallon from The Steppes. Kind of stoked to play with a guy who's toured Europe multiple times.

congrats bro, that sounds pretty damn awesome

also, back to the ME3 discussion, i like the new control ending a lot, and still think destroy is my favorite, but refuse is absolutely great, and i agree with instantdeath, **** synthesis.

The vocals remind me of a more agressive version of the Scissor Sisters. I like it.

Much appreciated. Also, I'm glad you liked the Xenomorph record. It's one hell of a trip.

Thanks! I remember you mentioned something about thinking it was Garbage's best album, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Scissor Sisters were heavily influenced by Garbage, especially from earlier Garbage tunes like "Milk" and "Androgyny." Knowing your taste, you'd probably dig the psychedelic songs (the self-titled track, "Felt") on the album.

The Pink Floyd-influenced tracks are right up your alley.

I believe I said on a few sites along the lines of:

An album that demands your attention and possibly may be Garage's best yet. Not Your Kind of People soars as both a reunion piece and a post-punk revival selection. So far this is the second or third best release of 2012 that I have listened to. Swirling electronic textures, standard Garbage vocals and thin percussion really adds in with it and the variety isn't jarring and allows the album to keep it's consistence without ever going away from being fresh.

Introducing my wife (former roommate lady) to a new film every few nights has made me realize I should just bite the bullet and do RYM film ratings while it's too hot to even look outside.

Also, really thought the couple new Garbage songs I heard sucked. I was never a really big fan though.
