That was pretty great, too.
Now, for a website that's done something pretty cool, here's one way NPR noted what would have been John Cage's 100th birthday.

That article struck me as A) a waste of time B) crappy music journalism and C) a blatant effort to generate clickthroughs.
Y'know, mister music writer? Don't tell me what you think sucks. Any pimple-squeezing teen with a connection to the internet can do that. Find me something I haven't heard, that you LOVE, and convince me to fall in love with it. THAT'S useful music writing.

RO: I don't really see why Alcest seem to get so much criticism. I find all of his albums very enjoyable.
Second RO: For a song about, well, a blue dress, Depeche Mode's "Blue Dress" is remarkably creepy. Of course there are all sorts prostitute and/or sexual fetish interpretations that can make it literally creepy.
Blow yer' harmonica son
The last album was veryyyy samey in comparison to the last. The kind of samey which shows no growth at all.
I still quite enjoy it though. They haven't hit AC/DC levels of redundancy left, but I do feel that it's about time for Neige to experiment beyond his typical black metal and shoegaze fusion.
FYF was pretty ****ing awesome.
Despite all my rage, I'm still just Nicolas Cage
Saw Lightning Bolt twice. Once at The Smell after the first night and then again at FYF the next day. It was ****ing amazing.
