People play Gangnam Style on the radio? Guess I haven't been listening a lot.

I don't know why people would want to listen to the radio anyway.

Rock Band helped me figure out when the last time was I listened to the radio, thanks to a DLC pack that included one of the last songs I remembered hearing played on the radio...

...the song was "The Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin. Do the math from there.

Well there are channels who don't play mainstream music, university channels and national ones here.
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

You're lucky. Other than NPR, which generally just plays a lot of generic folk and jam music (when it plays music), there's nothing like that around here. Thank the powers that be for satellite.

Well thankfully I live in the Boston area, so whenever I listen to the radio it's usually either 92.5 The River (Album-Oriented adult Alternative), 100.7 WZLX (Actually good classic rock), or, when I feel like being a bit more "guilty" in my music, 97.7/107.3 WAAF (General rock and stuff). Occasionally I listen to 92.9 (general 90's/00's/10's alternative), but they play the same songs over and over so I listen to that sparingly. Other than those stations it's basically all typical pop stations so I don't tend to stray.

we used to have an awesome alt station here called 94.1 the Edge, but they started playing dubstep, so that's not an option anymore. I usually listen to the Michigan State college radio station, which is usually excellent and will play anything.

If you live in NYC, you might be able to get 89.5 WSOU which is Seton Hall's radio station, broadcasting out of Jersey. They play some good stuff from time to time depending on the DJ. They mostly stuck to metal a couple years back, but now they play a lot of different styles. I've heard some really good tunes on there recently. Their late afternoon DJ's are usually the best like after 5 PM.

89.9 and 104.3 are the only ones worth two ****s.
