I just got back from Epica (those of you who have heard me fanboy gush all over facebook can just ignore this). But not only was I treated to an amazing performance, but after the show I got to meet Mark Jansen, Coen Jansen, Isaac Delahaye, and Ariën van Weesenbeek, but then hung out and talked with them after the show with a small group of people, which included them and us (sans Coen) to going to the casino. I also got to hug half the band because of this. Best day of my life. **** not having a camera phone though.

I wouldn't mind that. Had a "oh ****, I'm a dumbass" moment couple nights ago, showing up at a foreigner bar and seeing a girl I had met the night before. Liquid courage was kicking in and I dropped drunk Chinese saying "OH hey, I saw you yesterday"...only to learn that she's actually Korean.

Still slapping my hand against my forehead over that one.

I also somehow got to do this for Joe Bonamassa last night as well, my dad met a guy who had backstage passes, and so when he saw a father and son going to the show together, he was moved, so he gave them to us (he had an all-access pass himself) so after the show I got to meet Joe, Rick, Carmine, and Tal, it was really cool. Then to continue my luck, I found out today I won first prize in my work's Halloween costume contest last week, so I got $100 (my costume was a black metal musician again). Thinking of going to a casino tomorrow just to test this luck out.
