We have a steam group? I combed through some of the older posts and couldn't find it anywhere. I can't remember the last time I played a game on consoles, they're so bad now. I also don't have a lot of faith for next gen, either.

Yeah, Gowi started it up in July and invited some of us to it, but I think it pretty much ended there.

You say Sonic Youth, I say Nickelback. You say Animal Collective, I say Breaking Benjamin. You say Neutral Milk Hotel, I say Evanescence. You say Radiohead, I say Drowning Pool. You say Tyler, The Creator, I say Three Days Grace. You say Arcade Fire, I say Linkin Park. You say Björk, I say Green Day. 94% of teens have turned to experimental, alternative rock and hip-hop. If you are part of the 6% that still listens to real music, copy and paste this message to 5 other weird ass band shoutboxes. DON’T LET THE SPIRIT OF EMO ROCK DIE

I love Evanescence and generally can't stand Tyler, The Creator, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, and post-The Bends Radiohead, though. lol.

You can't really create an autobiographical narrative, like dys4ia is, if the story is open-ended.
I totally agree, but this is just my biases coming into play; open-ended games are almost always far more enjoyable to experience, for me, than linear ones. The narrative aspect, however, would be sacrificed for the sake of playability.

A lot of incentive on the group to succeed was placed on everyone, right now it's just a glorified HOR friends list I think. As per the gaming conventions conversation I'm a huge fan of welldone narrative, linear development (though I don't mind opposite conventions there), and character development. I think I treat gaming a lot differently then a few people here and I will argue against that modern gaming is poop viciously.
