I think it mostly has to do with the thought put into the opinion. Respected users generally end up that way because they think out their opinions more fully than others. While Axl may be able to give reasons why he thinks Kurt could have become the next Lennon, other people might say it out of blatant thoughtless fanboyism. Because people don't like wasting their time on thinking things through, they assume the well respected have thought out their opinions (which they may or may not have) while they test the others who they're uncertain of.

Because he probably had some sort of sense behind his post. If posters have a history of not backing their posts with logic or reasoning, they get jumped on. If they have a history of backing it up or explaining it, they won't get jumped on generally.

What? The first Guitar Hero forum was probably the best ever. Best members, bet mods (does Cinder still work here?), best threads, best posts. Makes me teary-eyed just thinking about it. The only reason I go to the new GH forum is to troll. Damn, I miss Diego and DimeTime.

I don't know... if I remember correctly, there was little to no moderation, and you had people posting porn in pretty much every thread. I might be thinking of a different forum, though.

Nothing blatantly stupid, but all of these things except for the third one are definitely arguable.

I don't think that's stupid... if he means becoming the next John Lennon in the sense that his words could influence thousands.

Before, during, and after that part. But yeah, that was the first time I ever saw bestiality and futa. Kinda scarred me, but now I'm desensitized.

And these are opinions so yeah they're arguable.
