Dude, if it weren't my friends dad taking us, I'd turn it into an all week trip to see SSPU and MBV.

Yup, read an entire thing on it. Also, at around the same time, CC got an offer to be in Airheads, but they could only choose one. White Zombie ended up in Airheads and CC in Ace Ventura.

If by all week you mean more than three weeks long? MBV isn't there until July 30th. Sonic Youth is there in 5 days.

Oh, I mean seeing MBV on July 30th and Silversun Pickups on August 4th. Unfortunately, I don't think my friends dad would be willing to stay there that long for two concerts.

    I'm seeing SSPU definitely, though.

The Entrance Band actually really impressed me. They were obviously stoned off their arses, but still were awesome. The guitarist/vocalist played a righty guitar left-handed. Not that impressive, until I saw it was still strung for a righty.
Psychedelic rock through and through. Vocals weren't great, but overall they actually were quite good.
awesome. i'm familiar with both bands, and enjoy both quite a lot (especially entrance, though i haven't heard very much now that it's officially a band).

Oh lol. That makes more sense.

I want to see SSPU, but I don't think I can manage two road trips to Richmond that close together. SSPU is also playing All Points West (which is much closer to me), but those tickets are too expensive for me.

You know what material would be a good starting point for Entrance? I was too poor to grab a CD at the concert (I only had enough money for either a Sonic Youth shirt or a cab home... I chose the shirt). Any clue on where to pick up/order a copy/contact info?
