For repeating "Nirvana sucks" 10 times through this thread... it's okay one time, but eventually, it gets annoying.

Post-Rock is insanely awesome to listen to whilst driving my toaster.

I also thought I was lucky that I got a new Scion xB, then I saw that my friend got a new Mercedes S (wtf?). Whatever, I'll laugh at him in 3 years when his S is in the shop for the 9th time and my toasterbox has only gone in for one oil change.

I'm particularly fond of Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and God Is An Astronaut. Some GIAA albums aren't that enjoyable to me because of the programmed drums, but a lot of it is pretty good. It's just awesome to let the soundscape wrap around you while you're traveling down the road.

You might want to check out 65daysofstatic, I'm not a fan of the band because of the heavily synthesized drums, but a lot of people I know are.

I have some Godspeed You! Black Emperor albums, and I think one God is an Astronaut album (I think I actually got that one from your last.fm profile). I'll listen to them if I have time.

All Is Violent, All Is Bright is my favorite GIAA album. The End of the Beginning is pretty good as well.

I don't have a favorite GY!BE album, but Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven! is awesome. F♯ A♯ ∞ is awesome as well, and Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada has my favorite track of theirs, Moya, the build-up is just insane.

I found out about Godspeed in a "best albums" list I found, based on critical reception. Not a bad site. I believe it was Lift your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven!
