I mean, it's not bad, the guy's voice kinda reminds me of John Denver, but I keep thinking that something's missing with the music. I don't know.

Then again, my main musical background is with orchestral music and jazz. so maybe there's just something to that stripped-down style of music that feels almost alien to me.

I mean, I enjoy it, but I just have problems understanding why everyone's raving about it as much as they are.

Well, for what it's worth (I've been saying that a lot lately), I feel the same way about I Get Wet

Really love the Mountain Goats, though.
