RO:As a fan of the Replacements, devotion to the band grows the more I listen to their discography. What disappoint me is some of the stuff on Don't Tell a Soul. I know they moved on by that time, but still, We'll Inherit the Earth would have kicked ass as an alt punk song rather the slow pop rock song it is. I'm tempted to cover it and make alt punk version of it myself.

Fact. I sell and grow Apples for a living, and I still think grapes are the best fruit.

What are people's opinions on J Mascis' solo material? I listened to a few tracks from Martin + Me, and it sounded pretty good. Not as good as Lou Barlow's solo stuff, but that's a pretty unfair comparison

I don't really like it as much as Dinosaur Jr.

Don't get me wrong, J Mascis + the Fog's not bad, but I'd still say they're a notch or two below even Dinosaur Jr's worst material. So you wouldn't miss much by not listening, but you still might want to check it out.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

    agreed.
it's the last thing you should check out from mascis, following witch, upsidedown cross, etc.
