    Being perpetually mistaken for a teenager used to be a point of infuriating insecurity. Nowdays at 27 its a pure blessing.

    i'm still mistaken for being a high school/college kid, particularly now that i'm shaven and have short hair.

    the lady at the liquor store speaks almost no english, but each time i go she asks for an ID and looks at me angrily, yelling "1979?! you kidding?!".
