I watch baseball on tv, but it's nothing like being there live. In any case, I enjoy watching most sports on tv, to be honest. I can watch baseball, hockey, football, tennis, and soccer any time. For basketball, college or pro, it has to be an important game, or I'll just get bored. Baseball and hockey are my two favorites.

I can watch full, regualr season games of anything except the NBA. Mainly because there are really like 4 good teams in the NBA every year.
Cleveland Browns 5-11 (next whenever they start playing again)

Peyton Hillis = The Albino Rhino

Heh, I remember when I was a kid my dad would always get us private boxes... I would be the one to stay in the boxes and watch TV rather than go outside and watch the sport. Ah, developing early.

Honestly, basketball's not my favorite sport to watch on TV or at the arena. The endings of games drag on forever. I feel I get a fairly good idea of what happened by watching highlights/reading newspapers.

^I approve of cubey's statement on hockey. Tons of fun live.

Yeah, baseball is probably one of the hardest games to play. It's not just hitting a ball getting thrown at you and catching it as many people believe. You have to know signs, situations and what to do in them, and requires a lot of practice to hit a ball going over 80 MPH that is moving all over the place. Baseball may not be as physical as football or basketball, but it's definitely the most mental game in professional sports.

Yeah, I've been playing baseball since I was 8 years old, all through high school but I stopped playing at the college level. Not because I can't play at that level, but because I didn't want to do it anymore. I figured I wasn't getting anywhere with it and I spent so much time doing it, so I gave it up. My grandpa always said, if it's not fun anymore, it's time to stop, so I took his advice.

And speaking of diminished skills, just a few months of not playing anymore, I went into a batting cage a few weeks and struggled just making contact. It's one of those sports you gotta keep at it to stay good.

And palm muting? All's you have to do is move your picking hand onto the strings.

I went to a hockey game once. Avalanche vs. Devils, Stanley Cup rematch at that time. Aside from freezing my ass off in the arena, I thought it was pretty boring and I was in the second row behind the glass.

I had a much better time sitting behind home plate at a baseball game than at a hockey game.
