SCV Rush is old, I have been scv rushed before and it is easy as hell to counter.

Also, I am used to sonic booms since stealth bombers regularly fly over during the Rose Bowl, Rose Parade, etc.

Hell yeah. Woven Hand is one of my favorite Folk acts of all time, Consider the Birds is a masterpiece, I absolutely love David Eugene Edwards, he's a genius, simply put.

Reminded me of the time in class where I was bored and filled up a few pieces of paper off the top of my head of his lyrics and made a thread that night about it http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173950

Still the most profound lyric of his to me might be "He might be a father but he sure ain't a dad." Don't know why, but that always struck me as his most genius thought.
It might be one of those Westerberg moments, but I think the actual lyric is "she might be a father, but he sure aint a dad", it fits more with the story but the other way works too and was the way I thought it was for the longest time.

Another favorite of mine is "I'm the boy that they can't ignore, for the first time in my life I'm sure".

Beautiful campus, but it's pretty big, too exclusive for me, and I never would have applied there anyway. The people I've met that got in and have applied there are people I don't really want to be around. Also, a lot of spoiled rich kids go there as well. Tends to happen with any school with a good law program.

Also, forgot to mention that I'm applying to Stanford as my "stretch" school. A teacher screwed me over freshman year and held a grunge against me, so my GPA is a little low, only 3.6ish. I smashed the SAT and ACT though.

Sonic booms are awesome, I love experiencing them.

Stanford is a great campus, I have friends who have visited there and it is fantastic. I want to get into UCLA, and Cal State LA is my fall back, but I plan on applying to other UCs as well (UC Irvine, Berkeley).

For the record, GPA doesn't matter as much anymore as where you finished with respect to the rest of your class...

I had a 3.85 GPA and a 33 ACT in high school... got accepted to Princeton and Case Western, went to the latter, got a couple of physics TAs that couldn't speak English... then went back home to community college and then Western Michigan University, ultimately getting two Bachelor's Degrees in areas well outside my original major.

I have no idea where I rank, I know quite a few people are ahead of me though, except my testing scores put me ahead of the pack. Also, at most of the schools I'm applying to, my GPA is about average or on the low end of the average, but my test scores are on the upper end or way above the average.

Only 2010 and 31 on my first SAT and ACT attempts, I should score as high as 2100+ and 33 or 34 on my next attempts.

mm, I'm thinking of applying to USC and UCLA because California's really nice, but I'm realistically planning on going to college at the UW.
Y'all remind me of my grandsons but they like Ice Cube movies so I can't never speak to them again. Excuse me, I'ma get me some Kool-aid.

Yeah, I've been there once a few years ago, but I haven't toured it, which I plan on doing. It's beautiful and I love that it's also reasonably close to San Francisco, which is another main draw of Santa Clara. I looked at USF and I hated the campus and the dorms.
