also, i've decided to give three bands i didn't care for another chance, and so far have gone back to Modest Mouse, and they've gone from meh to alright, and Dinosaur Jr. has gone from damn near unlistenable to good

Haven't read that one, but I've read the ones about Gilded Palace of Sin and Harvest and they were good, I'll have to pick that one up next time I'm in St. Louis.
