Hmmm, maybe. I am guilty of like listening to the Sword like once, I should relisten when I'm not in public with my son. But then Pizza7 and I are the only ones who are really into the Katatonia/Anathema/Paradise Lost/My Dying Bride type doom which I used to consider standard before learning about funeral doom, stoner doom and 80s doom.

I love Katatonia, the bit of Anathema I've heard is great, and I've been meaning to look into more similar stuff for a while. So there.

New Katatonia (late 00's), kinda old Katatonia (late 90's), and very old Katatonia (early 90's) are very, very, very, very different.

Same goes for Paradise Lost and Anathema. Although, I must say that very new Paradise Lost (late 00's) is more like kinda old Paradise Lost (mid 90's).

I enjoy a few songs still but overall I agree with this.
I haven't really heard too much actual Doom either.

Yeah, I still don't think they're bad, but they're nothing too special though either. That's how I'd put it, at least.

I second this, the overall quality is way better.
