Doors content would be truly awesome. Speaking of The Doors, anyone else a sucker for the song "Indian Summer"? And I typically don't like love songs, there's just something great about that one.

Question; I've had a useless record player/turntable for months now, and I'm finally about to do something about it. I understand I need something called a "phono preamp". Assuming I get one, will I need to regular receive I already have, or can I just use that for something else?

DLC from The Doors would be great and all, but it wouldn't be my favorite DLC released.

Doors DLC would definitely be some of my most wanted stuff, even more so considering Rock Band 3 will mark their debut.

If it were just for the main four instruments, I'd still greatly anticipate it, but the added keyboard puts it up there with The Who, Doolittle, Iron Maiden and The Beatles Rock Band to me (off the top of my head).

Oh, and I liked The Scarlet Letter.
1984's my favorite book. Every word that George Orwell writes is startlingly true. His social and political commentary is what draws me in, but his storylines and the personal connections he engenders are nothing to be scoffed at either. I've got to say, though, Aldous Huxley did mention that the world in 1984 would eventually turn into a world like that in Brave New World, and I have to concur 100%.

Also, somewhere out there, there's someone who thinks of Brave New World and 1984 first and foremost as the titles of Iron Maiden and Van Halen albums, respectively. I hope I never meet that person.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Was the Van Halen album named after the book, out of curiosity? I'm not a big enough fan to know and am too lazy to wiki it .

I've never actually heard the full album.

Blender is behind you all the way, along with every rock music fan who adores the word "pretentious".

1984 is my favorite book in the non-Tolkien category for me, so yeah, I really do think it's an amazing work. Orwell's work in general is great.

And yeah, the person who thinks that lives a sad, sad existence bereft of Huxley and Orwell.

As for The Doors, I don't think I'm as big on them as some of the other posters here, but I do like them quite a bit.

I think it was released in the year 1984, but I'd guess it's named in at least partial reference to the book.

I can't really describe how much I love the last hundred pages or so of 1984. Without spoiling it, it's probably the most gripping thing I've ever read.
