edit: are the damn forums ever going to be bug-free? i still cannot keep my account logged in, and it's keeping me from posting so often, because i can't be bothered to continually sign in before every post.

I hate how every time I make a post, it nearly becomes a double post.
I can always depend on you guys to entertain me with the dregs of the internet.

"Who is Eric Estrada?"
"He was a famous Spanish Conquitador."
So I just listened to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours today for the first time, loved it. I always heard you guys talking about it so I figured I'd join the fun![]()

Rumours is one of those albums that I think are required listening for any person ever. Similar to a couple of Beatles, Zeppelin, and CCR albums. Even if you don't like them, it should be kind of required to have an opinion on them, especially if you like music.
I'm pretty sure HOR has a bunch of required albums itself. I wrote about this before on FB, but I think if we were to compile a list of albums we should all be required to play at least once, they'd include, besides what I mentioned above,
Marquee Moon
Tallahassee
Dopethrone
Loveless
Daydream Nation
At least 5 different Zappas
In the Court of the Crimson King
Pet Sounds
At least 3 different Maidens
The Velvet Underground & Nico
Damn the Torpedos
Tim and Let It Be
What's Going On
Unquestionable Presence
Altars of Madness
Machine Head
A few given Neil Youngs
A few given Bob Dylans
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
Purple Rain
Focus
The Bends and OK Computer
Joy Division's discography
Correct me if I'm wrong or forgetting anything, btw.
I don't necessarily agree with that many Zappa albums personally. I have a tough time getting into his music, although obviously I give him heaps of respect and appreciate his part in music. His music just doesn't do anything for me. Otherwise, I like your list (I haven't heard a couple of them, might have to fix that).

Well his music is so varied that putting a few more albums than most other artists seems fair. Hot Rats, Apostrophe, and We're Only in the For the Money are especially ones to check out above all else. If you want me to put that up to five, you can add in Freak Out! and Sheik Yerbouti. I think these five might be a fair representation of Frank Zappa's discography.

I know I listened to the first two of those, and I'm pretty sure I listened to the third. Nothing really stuck, couldn't get into it. Am I a music failure now?
