If your current power supply is less than 420W, I'd recommend replacing that as well.

Yeah, I probably am going to do a total re-haul. I've never even opened a computer, though, so I'm considering paying someone to do it, though from what I've heard it really isn't difficult at all.

It isn't... I built my first computer when I was eleven. Even for somebody who has never done it before, you should be able to do it inside of an hour, no problems.

I'll make sure to read some guides thoroughly, only thing I'm worried about is permanently screwing my computer up. Did you figure it out for yourself, or were you taught by a person or book/guide?

Just the manuals that came with the parts.

Anymore I'd say the trickiest thing is getting the heatsink for the CPU mounted properly, but that's usually pretty easy to tell one way or another (and the computer will shut itself off if you didn't do it correctly - they're designed to keep you from frying a CPU).
