this Korn ripoff is so blatant that "Ripoff" is an understatement

I'm Batman.
RQ: anyone have A link to the stupid things thread? I want to look at it with the Way Back When Machine.
Remember zeppelin1969!
Just to take an informed wild guess, I'd guess that the main influence on the next album will likely be Metropolis Pt. 2. Why? Of the drummer documentary that DT did, they had everyone play three songs... one was "A Nightmare To Remember" (most prominent track on most recent album), and the other two... were both off of Metropolis Pt. 2 ("The Dance Of Eternity" and "The Spirit Carries On").
I don't consider that the two "legacy" songs chosen both being from the same album a fluke.

No, it's just the vibe I got during the whole pick a drummer reality stunt, and with the way their music changed after Sherinian and Moore were gone, it makes sense.
Despite all my rage, I'm still just Nicolas Cage
Considering three of my top four DT albums are with Rudess (Metropolis Pt. 2, Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence, and Black Clouds & Silver Linings), that doesn't bother me. If anything, my bigger concern would be if Portnoy had a bigger role in the writing (as he did on Train of Thought and Systematic Chaos), but he's not there now (same could be said for LaBrie with regards to writing, though).
One positive note: It has been announced that Myung is writing at least some of the lyrics on this new album, for the first time since Metropolis Pt. 2.
