I had a really brain-dead argument with a friend who was saying that Death Metal was satanic because of the "stereotypes" and "symbols". It was like arguing with a five year old. It pretty much ended with him saying "Oh, I meant black metal." HNGHFH.

yeah and then after I said it was more about atmosphere as oppossed to riff heavy, he proceeded to say that the satanic lyrics are the only defining factor ( yes he literally meant that every BM band worships the devil)
