Random opinion:
The last decade carrying on into this decade has been the worst decade for popular music (i.e., rap, pop, pop-radio "rock" acts like Nickelback) but good rock, alternative, and indie has been really good.

To be honest music hasn't dipped in quality...ever.
It's all a matter of where ya look.
Don't limit your options to what you hear on your local radio, overseas Pop is awesome!
And Hip-Hop, once again, it's where ya look, My favourite Hip-Hop artist has only been round for 5ish years I think.

I try to just vote in some of the Community Setlist threads, and that's about it anymore. It used to be a much better sub-forum.

I hadn't read in close to a decade but the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett has made it so whenever I have a free second I'm reading...I've currently got one hand holding it open as I type...
