But the whole thing is a sham. The group that votes on which bands are honored in said hall consists of Little Stevie Van Zant and his friends voting which bands they like into the Hall of Fame. Many of these "esteemed voters have said on the record how much they hate certain bands. As a result, many genres are outright ignored entirely while some genres have a stigma against them even though there might be a couple of bands of said genre in the Hall of Fame. The fact that there are More Disco groups than Metal bands in the Rock N Roll hall of fame is all that needs to be known to prove how much of a joke it is.

Proves my point entirely. A genre totally snubbed even though it shouldn't be.
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

    Bathory []
    Bal Sagoth []
    Amorphis []
    Emperor [X]
    Enslaved []

Prog should be more recognized amongst the masses. Not just Pink Floyd and Rush, more like Yes, Phideaux, Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, etc...
We need sludgey and droney and stonery metal:
    Dirge
    Sleep
    Bongripper
    Sunn O)))
    Electric Wizard
    Earth
    Neurosis
    Cult of Luna

Yes Exactly, that's all I'm trying to say. I would be much more accepting of no Rush if any other of these bands were to get in or be nominated with the exception of Pink Floyd. I think Rush is more deserving than any of these other bands listed above but in their own right they all deserve to go in.

Well, Phideaux wouldn't be eligible until, depending on how you look at it, either 2018 or 2028, but yeah... the rest are pretty prominent bands, and all HoR-eligible.

I don't get the hate on Nickleback. Are they the best? No, far from it, but they're not bad. Sure, their faster songs suck, but I like their ballads (if I could call them that). Their slower songs shine a lot better than their hits, and even if generic, aren't bad at all. But yet everyone hates them like they're Justin Bieber bad for some reason.

I get it. Its because they have some of the least creative, most cookie cutter music ever made, and its really really bad on top of all that.
