I don't get the hate on Nickleback. Are they the best? No, far from it, but they're not bad. Sure, their faster songs suck, but I like their ballads (if I could call them that). Their slower songs shine a lot better than their hits, and even if generic, aren't bad at all. But yet everyone hates them like they're Justin Bieber bad for some reason.

but Justin Bieber gets hated on because he's marketed and teenage boys don't like that the girls they have crushes on like him more than them. (the kid makes pop music and he doesn't take himself seriously, he's a good kid and he's got a hot ass girl. the hate needs to stop)

Nickelback gets hated on because they are awful, there is no subjectivity in the matter, and having to listen to the same 5 ****ty songs by them over the radio at work as only reinforced this fact.

I honestly hated Justin Biebers brand of pop long before I had any idea what he looked like (I don't watch music videos). Something about his music feels really contrived and irritable to me.

Honestly, I hate his girlfriend almost as much as him . She's definitely in the Parris Hilton class of "famous for being famous".

But seriously,

I get it. Its because they have some of the least creative, most cookie cutter music ever made, and its really really bad on top of all that.

This is the most accurate reason here for why they're bad. There is no band that will ever be bad because they just are. There has to be a reason. And Nickleback being bland and repetitive is a good reason.

And yet somehow I like some of their songs.

Hoping The Cure's inevitable induction into the HoF means Bauhaus, Joy Division, and Depeche Mode will get in next year. They all deserve it.

Couldn't agree more, there should be a spot in the hall for each one.

There's always the people that you could take to dinner at Moto in Chicago and they'll still prefer to eat at McDonald's. Only so much you can help those people out.

That's me. Don't get food snobs. I've never found pleasure in eating, just eat pretty much enough to stay. I hate sitting down in restaurants... fine dining can kiss my ass. Doesn't help that I hate pretty much all meat and fish.

Art's different for me. I could probably eat the same food every day if I had to. Not McDonalds though.
