Ah the joys of being a music connoisseur.

Even when I am the one who tries to fit in, half of the time, the music is painful to sit through.
I don't even bother to try fitting in based on pre-packaged drivel. Usually my Bathory or Emperor T-Shirts will give this away.

I encourage the world to listen to unpopular artists. I feel no delight in having obscure knowledge.
Perhaps you should take hostages and demand that all give in to your demands of listening to unpopular artists

I also enjoy having this kind of knowledge. Even if people don't want to know this, I at least still have it, as well as some awesome music on my iPod.
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

    Bathory []
    Bal Sagoth []
    Amorphis []
    Emperor [X]
    Enslaved []

Well, it's either that they don't know who I'm talking about, or trying to explain to them that Trans-Siberian Orchestra is not symphonic metal.

I feel the latter is worse, to be honest.

me, genre debates, and the general public usually don't get along.

it ends up in them yelling WELL JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T THINK THEY ARE DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE

When you graduate from high school and your music socializing time is your local scene's venues and bars then it changes from night to day when talking about bands.

There's a lot of great Hip-Hop out there both old and new, but I tend to lean towards the older stuff myself.
