I feel the greatest cringe within my body when people haven't heard of some of the most obvious artists. We live in the peak of the internet era and it still feels like 99% of the world is still willing to get music from the radio.

Ah the joys of being a music connoisseur.

Even when I am the one who tries to fit in, half of the time, the music is painful to sit through.

I don't even bother to try fitting in based on pre-packaged drivel. Usually my Bathory or Emperor T-Shirts will give this away.

I encourage the world to listen to unpopular artists. I feel no delight in having obscure knowledge.

Perhaps you should take hostages and demand that all give in to your demands of listening to unpopular artists

I do, mostly out of enjoying sharing my knowledge.

I also enjoy having this kind of knowledge. Even if people don't want to know this, I at least still have it, as well as some awesome music on my iPod.

There's a lot of great Hip-Hop out there both old and new, but I tend to lean towards the older stuff myself.
