RO: I love Noel Redding's bass playing. Yeah, he may be the Experience's "weak link," but...come on...look who he was playing with.

Aliens, while not as scary as Alien is even better, IMO. Although it has some scary scenes itself (like when Newt went in the water and then the alien surfaced from the water behind her).

They've eased or eliminated import tariffs on butter in the meantime, but supplies are still quite limited. "Cluster****" seems about as good a way to describe their situation as any.

(That being said, I understand why they set up their agricultural industry there the way they did - because so much of Norway's economy is based on oil, if they didn't regulate their import markets the entire country would either be working for the government or the oil companies, one or the other, due to their massive comparative advantage in extracting crude oil. With that sort of a mess, though... I'd be willing to chance it working for the government.)

YouTube is getting ridiculous with their copyright crap. They used to just get claimed by some 3rd party company and they put ads under your vids, okay no biggie that's fine, but now they're taking them down or blocking them worldwide. So much for "fair use" for copyrighted stuff which is part of the Copyright Law. WMG and SME and UMG... they don't want to hear that anymore. I used to be able to get away with it by saying my videos are for teaching purposes and copy/paste the Copyright Law in my dispute form. Doesn't work any more. Good luck any YouTube uploaders that have any type of music in their videos, you're going to have a very hard time getting anything up on YouTube these days.

Also partly related to copyright, The RIAA gets caught downloading illegal torrents.

Also, they're trying to block Google search results from showing illegal download sites, like that will make a big difference. They didn't learn from shutting down LimeWire that just attacking one specific program or site, isn't going to make any difference at all. People will just find an alternative and there are thousands of alternatives. They're idiots and they're hypocrites.

All of the Big Four labels are on a copyright binge right now... that being said, if you look at what their sales numbers have been like, this should come as no surprise whatsoever. (Believe it or not, about a quarter of the major labels' revenue now comes from ringtones - a market expected to disappear by 2013.) They're in panic mode, and are unwilling to accept the obvious - their business model doesn't work anymore.

If anybody's interested, I'll be more than willing to post something on the economics of the music industry, and how (potentially) a label could be profitable even in the Internet age.
