Because she was a proponent of the selfish notion that the only thing people should be concerned about in their life is their own self-interest, and there should be no help at all for the less fortunate. Just throwing that out there. That's why I can't stand her or any of her followers.

Amen. This certainly explains why people love her, though. Self-interest is pivotal to survival in most cases.

While I mentioned my wholehearted disagreement with her, I can see why her philosophy turned out the way it did, given her history. Of course it's over-the-top, but well, that's Rand's hallmark. Like roach said, she's just not a good writer from a literature standpoint, either.

Damn, I feel really left-wing now. Well, with the exception of my admiration of Machiavellian thought. That's not very left-wing. I completely agree with your last point, though.

RO: It's great getting back into Blues with the classic artists such as Blind Lemon Jefferson.

Yeah, I'm not really left-wing or right-wing by modern political definitions... I'm a classical liberal, and that's about it. Former member of both major political parties, though.

    noise/abstract music
Abstract/unconventional art appreciation can't be explained, maybe not even taught. But ever since I got into Fantomas around 2007? The interest just peaked and grew out from there.

White fuzz, like halfway between two radio stations.
Merzblow utilizes more textures and layering then simple static and it's insulting to imagine it as such.

where I just don't get the appeal whatsoever, to anyone.
Then you aren't thinking from others perspectives hard enough or aren't challenging yourself where you can deal with it.
