Also, when I saw them, some guy in the front was trying to get Rick to play Ramones songs...

    Haha nice.

I'll just keep it old school and make sure to shout Freebird 5 minutes into the concert.

my friend did that when I saw them...

though that's not as sad as when I went to the "Intimate Evening with Keith Emerson & Greg Lake" and the people in front of me were complaining that they weren't playing any songs they recognized, and left after about 25 minutes...

For the record the setlist was:
    From the Beginning
    I Talk to the Wind
    *****es Crystal
    The Barbarian
    Take a Pebble
    Tarkus
    C'set La Vie
    Tank/Piano Improv.
    America
    Rondo
    Q&A Session
    Encore:
    Pirates
    Lucky Man

and yeah, I actually did save that setlist

Sadly right after that concert I came home and was ready to write a review about it on here (April 2010) and then my dad took me to a casino to see my favorite local band (Crawpuppies) whom I haven't seen live since because it's hard to follow E&L..

I never really made the connection before, but I was listening to "Gloria" the other day and Van Morrison in his days with Them sounds eerily similar to Mick Jagger. Put Mick's vocals on "Gloria" and I think it would sound pretty close to what it sounds like with Van singing it. When I just listened to "Brown Eyed Girl", but you can still hear Jagger's influence in Morrison's voice, but to a lesser degree.

Sounds like those idiots don't know the first rule about concerts, any hits the band has is going to be in the encore. That way, the people jumping on the band's bandwagon have to hear other songs from the band's back catalog first. Some bands deliberately get joy seeing these types of fans squirm in their seats at concerts (Queensryche being an example that loved seeing fans upset over not playing "Silent Lucidity" until the encore back in the day).

Also, what a lucky man you were to see 2/3 rds of ELP perform.
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

    Bathory []
    Bal Sagoth []
    Amorphis []
    Emperor [X]
    Enslaved []
