I've noticed this as well. I've spent countless hours listening to Coltrane and Davis only to realize that the one CAKE album I've listened to has more plays than either of them. Same thing with prog. I could listen to a 20-minute epic, but that counts as much as a 30-second hardcore punk song.

I just noticed that almost every regular here vote HELL NO! THEY SUCK in the Rise Against thread. I haven't heard much at all from them, so why all the hate?

They have one song that I think is decent (I think it's State of the Union, whichever one was the closest they got to Hardcore with), but even that is incredibly generic Punk.

Yeah, I wish it would be based on average time spent listening to music, but those charts would be far less interesting and pleasing to view, I guess.

I just found it very funny that a21, afterstasis, Alright, back_blows, Fizzeler, Mystlife, Onslaught, you, and WhiffleBallTony all voted that way.

Mine is on the sole basis of the 1 song Ive heard from them in RB2. I hate that song and will be a ***** about it because its the damn internet.

I personally went with "maybe", because I really don't care either way.
