Until now I've been a casual RB player-- I bought last week RB1 to work on my chops for this game. So maybe I don't get the gravity of exportability. You have to switch out the discs if you want to play a Beatles song, and you can't combine them in playlists with other artists. That's pretty much it, right?

Yeah, apparently a lot of people are too lazy to get off their asses to get up and switch discs on occaision.

However, a couple of people have objections due to parties, which is understandable, but this is the way it is.

I'm stilled pissed about no setlist exporting...THERE ARE ONLY 40 SONGS AND WE CAN'T EXPORT IT?! WTF?!

GHI had more songs then that....

45+dlc. Technical issues about the engine and licensing costs are the reasons. I cant believe this is still being discussed; it has been settled for months. Nonissue

anytime there is a post the brings up a GH game, it just loses all credibility. GH is a cartoon-ish joke, imo.

as has been mentioned many times ... there is going to be a bunch of dlc. this is a complete Beatles "experience". for Beatles fans, imo, it is a non issue. when i listen to beatles music, i listen to whole albums. it is the whole experience. imo, the game totally deserves to be standalone. the Beatles are one of a very few bands that deserve a standalone game (pf, lz, rs, u2).

It's a shame there will be no demo on XBL or PSN. I'm sure a demo would go a long way to convincing those on the fence that The Beatles: Rock Band would be a worthwhile purchase.

Yeah, that is pretty much it. That only becomes a problem if you are one of the few players, like myself, who normally only plays Rock Band with a group of friends. We like to mix up the set lists with different bands and genres. It is not surprising for us to play a Metallica song backed by Spirit in the Sky backed by The Zombies. Plus, I really don't want people switching discs in and out while drinking. So, for me personally it is important.

But, yeah, really, that is the only "problem" with it, so for people who are not party centric like myself, it really shouldn't be a problem.

Personally, I think the biggest example of the genius of The Beatles is to compare and contrast their music with music from other bands of the time, ie. The Who, The Monkeys, The Zombies, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, ect. While also comparing them to bands like Oasis, Weezer, and other bands that have been directly influenced by the band. The best way to do that would be playing songs back to back… but, without exportability, that is not going to happen.

It’s a done deal so there is no use in crying or getting mad about it, however.

...Just found a HMXHenry post in another thread saying, no demo on XBL or anything. The only demo is the one they're travelling round the country.

If I can get a link to that post I will add the information to the first post of this thread.

Because he says "At this time the only way for you to get a hands on demo of TB:RB would be to meet up with us at one of the select events we'll be showing off the game before 9/9/09. "

Having a playable demo available in the future is not ruled out. As such, I will not be posting that a demo will not be made available.
