you know what also gives you a look into how talented they were . look at the actual music im a violinist and i found my self a book of 89 Beatles songs. and notes arnt hard but all the changes of the time Signature are crazy i know this is for really only the people who know how to read music but it went from 4/4 to 2/4 to 3/8 to 5/8 to 4/4 then to 2/4 then to 3/8, then 5/8 then 4/4 then 2/4 then 3/8 all in the same song and all of those time changes i just listed happened in about 14 measures Its just crazy
This is Lennon's influence. I think he tended to write the music to fit the words he had in mind, so he would shorten and lengthen phrases to however he wanted it. McCartney was pretty solid, and rarely seemed to stray out of his prescribed time signature.

I don't know if Lennon really knew the ins and outs of songwriting or if he just wrote his stuff by chords and riffs. What the time signature stuff really speaks to is how amazing Ringo Starr truly was. Because he was the one who had to take these insane beat patterns and make them sound natural without overshadowing the rest of the band.

Anyone know how they're going to break up the Dreamscape songs? It's a good bet that there will be four sets of five songs, and my guess is they are "Sgt. Pepper's", "Magical Mystery Tour & Yellow Sub", "The White Album", and "Late singles & Abbey Road". There are some issues with this arrangement that I go into on the track speculation thread, but I couldn't think of another useful way to divide the material.

It will be interesting to see how they break up things for the somewhat-mysterious "Chapter Challenges". Clearly it's going to be something more than touring and non-touring. I don't know if they'll divide them up strictly on an album basis, but it's not a bad guess.

I never thought a game would be able to inspire the formation of a real band or strengthen friendships. Thank you Harmonix, for making Rock Band.

it wouldn't make sense for them to release a demo, most poeple know what music games are like anyway so the only thing they're really giving is a free song or two for those who already have RB controllers.

Viacom owns MTV. I imagine it was automated.

Until now I've been a casual RB player-- I bought last week RB1 to work on my chops for this game. So maybe I don't get the gravity of exportability. You have to switch out the discs if you want to play a Beatles song, and you can't combine them in playlists with other artists. That's pretty much it, right?
