What were the last movies you watched?

Thought this would be a good idea. Basically tell us what movies you saw recently AND what you thought about them. Could be something you saw on TV/DVD or in the Movies. Anything~ I watch lots of movies so I will post here a lot

Last film I saw was Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007). Very good crime drama/thriller from Sidney Lumet (Dog Day Afternoon). Two brothers who are in need of money for different reasons decide to rob a jewelery store. There's a twist though, which I won't mention ...

Before that, I saw The Defiant Ones (1958), starring Sidney Poitier. I enjoy watching old movies. Really liked this one, it was a great drama about two prisoners, one black one white, who are chained together and have to help each other when they find themselves free from their captors.

Iron Man, then The Incredible Hulk. Made the Stark cameo at the end of Hulk that much more awesome.

On Halloween, I saw Ginger Snaps. I have no idea why this movie is a considered a cult classic. The satire and 'lycanthropy as puberty' analogy seemed ham-fisted, and all in all it just oozed 'laughably bad b-movie' to me.

Last flicks I saw were Role Models and Madagascar 2. Role Models isn't nearly as funny as it should be, though it has a few moments and the LARP scenes are choice.

Madagascar 2 is more of the same, with plenty of cute lemur and penguin action. Pretty much if you liked the first one you'll dig the sequel.

Bryan Adams and Celine Dion have already rendered that theory false, sorry (and no, awesome as they might be, bands like Rush and Saga don't cancel them out).

For Hallowe'en I watched "30 Days of Night". I really enjoyed it, I thought it was a very good horror/suspense film, well shot, well lit, great makeup, good effects, great setting, awesome setup, reasonably acted, and overall well executed.

I was suprised later to see it had a metacritic of 50ish, and a '50% fresh" rotten tomatos ranking. I don't know what people who didn't like it were looking for, or what they were expecting when they went to a 'vampires attack an Alaskian town during the period of prolonged nightfall' movie, but IMO, it delivered all that its concept promised.

I also read that in some versions the vampire language was subtitled, I can only imagine this detracting from the expieriance - more interesting to not know exactly what they are saying.
The addition of keys means that it is finally time to add:

NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS!
