Good to hear some positive feedback for Wolfman. Haven't had the chance to make it to the theater this weekend (Crazy right? ) and I am really pumped for it. But all these negative reviews put a damper on my high hopes. Still going in with the mindset I'll love every minute of it as critics don't really ever review films fairly. That's why I would like to go into that world offering just your average person's opinion on movies.

If you're a fan of the classic Universal monster movies, especially the original Wolfman, I don't see how you wouldn't like this one. It's about the best you could do with a modern remake while staying true to the original.

And, yeah, it is kinda crazy that you haven't made it to the theater yet. I was expecting to see your review of this one up already.

Forgot to post this last weekend but shows you how much I cared about the movie:

    Dear John 3/10

One of the worst "romantic" movies possibly ever made. The saddest thing about this movie is teenage girls flocked to the theaters to witness Channing Tatum (who I highly despise) and Amanda Seyfried (who I normally love but this movie managed to have me hate her with a passion) fall in love only to break up due to Seyfried's character being selfish during 9/11. Seriously, Nicholas Sparks? This is your idea of a good book? And that's not including the worst twist in a movie in quite sometime. I would love to ruin it for you all but its not even worth bothering to mention it. Overall, there has only been two Nicholas Sparks movies that I have actually liked: The Notebook and A Walk to Remember. Watching Dear John is one of the few movies I have seen that made me angry I wasted money on it. It also upsets me that this piece of thrash was the film to dethrone Avatar from the box office top. I wanted it to last until Shutter Island.

Coraline - Great animation, I loved the look. Too bad everything else fell through. The story was pretty bad as was the pacing. I didnt care about any of the characters.

    But it looked good.

Watched Ghost Town last night. Pretty good. Some very funny moments, and some very average moments, but the funny outweighed the average.

I saw Avatar in Imax 3D. It looked nice, too bad everything else about it stank. 4/10.

I posted this yesterday in the Halo thread but I'm putting it here since this is an equally appropriate thread:

I watched Halo Legends last night. I'm not a fan of the anime style but I toughed it out because it was Halo. Overall, I was pleased. There were certainly parts that bugged me but every short had great highlights. The last segment alone was worth the price of the movie though. It's CGI and a direct prequel to the first game - by far the best part of the entire compilation.

Percy Jackson & the Olympiads: The Lightning Thief 8/10

Though the movie's plot is NOTHING like the book it's based on, the movie captures the cool idea of placing Greek mythology in a modern world. I thought Columbus did a great job of re-creating the world that the book made and the scenes that were faithful to the book were almost the exact way I imagined it. However, if you are a person who believes movies based on books should almost the exact same thing, you will be highly disappointed (then again I don't know how many people have actually read the books; I have only read the first one but plan on reading the other four in the series). Though the movie does a valiant effort to be a Greek mythology version of Harry Potter, it doesn't reach the magnitude of those films. However, I had a good time and enjoyed the film. Will be looking forward to the Blu-ray release. Oh and one last note: the movie is probably to scary for little ones. Though the rating is PG, it's closer to a light PG-13 than PG.

The Falcon and The Snowman. I had seen it in years past but it was on HBO today and I just figured "why not?!".
