Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. It was childish and it ended how they always do. Alvin learns his lesson and then starts doing the same sh*t. Ugh :{

It doesn't matter if you love Harmonix or capital H.M.X.
Psycho (1960)
It's the second time I watch and I'm still not very impressed. Hitch**** is brilliant but he had to deal with the era's convention and restriction, and that's annoying.
Tirez sur le pianiste (1960)
Jules et Jim (1962) is the only other Truffaut that I've seen but I prefer the earlier movie by a large margin. Jules et Jim was cheesy and much less ambitious.
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.
Super 8.
8/10
Probably would have been a 9 but I kept missing parts and had to catch it about 4 different times to see it all. I was always partial to Stand By Me though and it has that feel to it.
Harmonix Kung-Fu Central coming this fall to an XBOX near you!
I'm not trying to rate the movie, I don't believe in rating movies, I'm trying to appreciate it. On an aesthetic point of view, the movie is brilliant, but the "he was crazy" ending is simply ridiculous and the famous shower scene felt sterile, although complex and interesting to analyse. Of course, most of those problems are, like I said, related to the era's conventions and restrictions, both imposed by the hollywood system and simply the knowledges of the time (specifically about mental illness). From a history of film perspective, also, Hitch**** did participate in breaking those conventions. I thought the most interesting scene was probably where Norman cleans the room after the shower murder. Marion Crane's character was also very interesting and Janel Leigh did a wonderful job at depicting her anxiety, but most of the other characters, especially the lover and the detective, seemed unidimensional.
So what I'm saying is not that the movie is not worth watching and analysing on an aesthetics point of view (especially the sound/music), I'm saying it bored me and the "he was crazy" ending felt cheap.

I just saw the new version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and I absolutely loved it. It was amazing from the very beginning Nine Inch Nails music video style opening credits to the almost abrupt ending. Can't wait to see what they do with the next one.
Stone In Love - Journey
Rose of the Devil's Garden - Tiger Army
Don't Change - INXS
Highway Song - Blackfoot
Tonight She Comes - The Cars
I just finished watching Teen Wolf Too and it was horrible. Shocking, I know. The best part was the awesome Oingo Boingo tune that played during one of the montages. Other than that, HUGE stinker. Jason Bateman ain't no Michael J. Fox. 2/10.
Currently watching My Cousin Vinny. I love how Legally Blond is basically a remake of it.

Tubbs has a new home
^ I dissent from that opinion.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil. 7/10. It was good, stupid humor.
