10/10 - Great flick if you are into shoot em ups with a great story.
The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is more of the same gratuitous violance, and not as good as the first...but for killing some time it's worth watching.

Rewatched both Modern Times and Songs From the Second Floor. The former for an American Film class and the latter with my girlfriend, which had her sobbing uncontrollably for the last half hour. Both masterpieces.

    Santa Sangre:
    9/10

I watched this last year over winter break, so I figured I'd watch it again to send off the holidays. Really surreal film about a circus family; basically the husband cuts off his wife's arms because he's a cheating son of a ***** with a thing for the Tattooed Lady he uses as a target in his knife-throwing act and the wife, in an attempt to exact revenge, manipulates her son to literally become her arms with which she uses to become a mass murderer. The acting in this movie takes a solid backseat to the imagery and the aesthetic style, but I'm totally okay with that.

Almost got me to cry although it's kind of stereotyped (especially the german pilot character). Amazing sound design and lighting.
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

I can't link to it directly because a mod breaking forum rules is a bit of a faux pas, but I thought the redband trailer for FDR: American Badass was hilarious. I love me some Barry Bostwick, as well as absurd spins on history (looking forward to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as well).
