Just finished watching Insidious for the second time.

It's fine, it's not like I was planning on sleeping tonight.

Seriously though, if you don't think this movie's scary, try watching it in total darkness sometime like I just did.

I just couldn't get into it. In fact, the hooves on the demon reminded me of this.

Last film I watched was that Star Trek reboot from a few years ago on Blue Ray. It's one of those movies that gets both odd and hilarious when one starts role associating, especially since the girl that played the blue alien from Avatar was in it as Uhura.

A friend sent me over a giant box of kid's movies that I can watch with my daughters when they get old enough. Some of them I really can't wait to watch with them that I haven't seen in ever like All Dog's Go to Heaven and Toy Story 1. Some I remember giving me nightmares as a kid like We're Back and Wizards. Then there was some things I have never seen but heard great things about like My Neighbor Totoro and The Adventures of Icabob & Mr. Toad.

Hidden within the pile I did find something I couldn't pass up. Who Framed Roger Rabbit!!! Last night I watched it for the first time in a while and the movie is still incredible. The animation mixed with real characters isn't half assed liked Pete's Dragon (I hate that movie!!!) It's fluid and believable which blows my mind when I see little details thrown in that I cannot believe they were able to pull off. If my daughters want me to watch this movie with them, I will never pass up the opportunity. 10/10!!!

    Star Wars Episode I 3D

I probably don't have the most experienced input, especially since I remembered most of the locales thanks to the Lego Star Wars game.

    8/10

Finally got around to seeing Drive.

    9/10

I thought it was fantastic. It was an action flick that went so much farther than the action could ever do. Total throwback to classic action films too. And after watching the special features, and seeing how it could have been, made it even better.

Chronicle. 6.5/10. It was decent, but ultimately predictable. It didn't help that I never really cared much about any of the main characters, except for Steve, and only because the actor was in Friday Night Lights, although I didn't dislike any of the characters as much as I have in other "found footage" films like Blair Witch and Cloverfield. The other two were a stereotypical social loser and a bland high school kid. And I didn't really believe that Steve, the super popular football player, is going to become besties with the other two just because they all suddenly get super powers.
