    Green Lantern - 4.5/10

A big budget super hero film with a bunch of flashy special effects, but with a completely anti-climatic story that goes nowhere. Put a mediocre cast on top of that and you have Green Lantern.

The first one is the worst horror movie I've ever seen in my entire life. And I've watched tons of horror movies.

It's not a horror movie, it's a suspense/thriller. I've seen loads of horror movies as well, probably more then you. Speaking of good Horror movies, you ever hear about the After Dark Horrorfest?

Even as a suspense/thriller I found it a very weak movie.
And I thought the After Dark Horrorfest ended a few years back.

They stopped Horrorfest and became AD Originals in 2011. I prefer the Horrorfest movies better, really good.

I watched Special When Lit last night, a documentary about the rise and fall of pinball as a dominant form of entertainment. It was pretty disjointed and kind of hopped around from story to story, but it was a fascinating look on the economy of pinball, the manufacturing costs and the people involved in the games.

The people always sell niche documentaries like this for me more than the subject matter and this was a really cool balance of "oh god, they are obsessed, how does this person make a life?" and "wow, this person is clearly so passionate and in love with a game of flippers and balls that I can't help but respect them". Recommended watching for anyone invested in gaming culture of any kind.

Being a teenager during the 70's, pinball was the thing. There were a lot of novelty machines that were mostly all mechanical (and old) but nothing that even came close. Hours and hours were spent at the neighborhood arcades and 7-11s trying to perfect backhand flips and bank shots. Tilt mechanisms were routinely tested to see how much bump or slide each machine would take before "lights out and drain" and saying goodbye to any bonus you accumulated.
Really popular machines might have coins stacked 3-5 deep waiting for the next turn. Which could really suck btw if you were waiting cause you only had one quarter left and the guy playing was racking up free games.

I'll definitely watch it, thanks for the tip.

The Paranormal Activity movies are some of the biggest trite I've seen. All three of them are equally bad, unimaginative, unthrilling and just plain schlock.
