Thanks, it's easy to forget how influential it is until you watch it again (which is pointed out right off the bat on the excellent making of documentary on the dvd). Been on a Universal Monsters kick the last couple of months.

    Ah, that, too, makes sense.

And yeah, the ending left me a bit confused as well, but I guess the "replicants having more emotions than humans" bit also clarifies some things.

Was this one of the first films to address that? I feel like that's a fairly common theme, but maybe they're all borrowing from this film, for all I know.
Blade Runner was the first Sci-Fi flick to do a lot of things. It was really the first influential cyberpunk film. In it Technology doesn’t make the world cleaner or safer, in long run things are grittier and dirtier, making life more complicated.

Oh yeah, I've heard of cyberpunk. Pretty cool that it was one of the first influential ones then.

It is slower paced, but there’s just so much going on in it, it’s one of those films repeat viewings makes better. And as you may have read with Benson’s post, there’s still a ton of debate over different elements of the film that are left to the viewers own opinion.

    Spoiler

If Deckard was a replicant, that spins things in a totally different direction. Are we all just mindless drones, sent out to complete what amounts to meaningless task?.

I finally got around to watching Watchmen this weekend. It was long (director's cut) but really enjoyable. It was really different than I was expecting, and I think that's a good thing, haha.

I absolutely loved Toy Story 3~ thought it was even better than the first two films.

Brings me back to my childhood~ the end brought tears to my eyes. Very touching, funny, cool action, good story and adventure~

I'm sad to see this series end, but they really did save the best for last~ imo at least

DC is definitely the way to go. Have you read the Graphic Novel?

Saw Zack and Miri. Loved it. Justin Long is hilarious in the 15 minutes or so he's in the movie.

Watched a little bit of As Good As It Gets, but I was hella tired. It looks really good though, I'll watch it in the coming days.
