John Adams (the HBO Mini Series) Highly suggest it, all 4 Indian Jones Movies, The Lucky Star OVA (trippyest anime episode/movie I've ever seen), The Perfect Gift, and Across the Universe (also quite trippy)

Waist Deep - HD DVD: not bad, could've been better.

To Transbrak: Did you really like Sideways? I had pain after watching it. It had no purpose, it just plain sucked. Even Best Defense and Titanic had a discernible plot, they just sucked anyway.

Whoops! I thought it was up for Best Picture, apologies. Milk should win is still my opinion though, I can deal with Slumdog... winning.

I saw Monster Ball tonight. It was a lot better than I expected, even though there were surprisingly few monsters dancing.

I love that film. Halle Berry was great in it.

I know, eh? The whole time I was thinking, "that can't be her, can it?"

Also the dad from "Raymond" was surprisingly good. I hated him in that sitcom, but he was great in this movie.

The whole film was filled with unexpected performances for me. It's one of my quiet favourites.

Those HD DVDs that I ordered for 5 bucks each came in this weekend. I decided to watch Being John Malkovich first. The movie was a lot more disturbing than I remember, but then again, I watched it on cable the first several times I saw it. It's such an incredibly crafted and well-written plot, that words just can't describe it. John Cusack and Malkovich were spot on, and Diaz plays the tortured role of Lotte surprisingly well, considering her usual choices for roles.

The movie really takes some time to sink in the first time you watch it (or the first time in a long time like this was for me), so you should give it a day or two to marinate, then watch it again. The whole concept of a portal to another person's consciousness is intriguing to me, which is why I keep coming back to watch this movie over and over. If you haven't seen this movie, you should REALLY go rent it.

NOTE: I try not to give away plot details since I HATE reading reviews that ruin movies for me. So if my review is a little vague, I apologize
