Watched a little bit of Hard Candy, but the audio was out of sync, so I turned it off and watched Stranger Than Fiction instead, which was shockingly good. I really enjoyed it.
Well, everyone, prepare to have your guts kicked out by folk singers...

RocknRolla (2008) - Finally, Guy Ritchie has returned! Yes, this is the same type of movie as Snatch and Lock Stock, and yes, Ritchie pulls out his usual bag of tricks. But that's a great bag to be pulling out of. I absolutely love Ritchie's style of fast edits, taking you from one point, to a completely opposite, yet still relevant point, and bringing you back again. Gerard Butler shows off his comedy chops (now he needs to get away from the chick-flicks) and the supporting cast are all great and have their moments of hilarity. Definitely recommend. 9/10

Dirty Harry (1971) - Growing up not being a fan of Clint Eastwood (I'm still not ga-ga over him), I avoided a bunch of his "classics", so I just got around to watching Dirty Harry this weekend. Years of hype and parodies could do nothing but lower my expectations for it. While it was still a fun cop flick, it didn't quite live up to the "epic" title that I've heard thrown around. Being a huge fan of Fincher's "Zodiac", I found myself watching it through the eyes of Inspector Toschi at times, which actually added to the experience in a weird way. The over-the-top-ness of the Scorpio killer also kind of detracted my enjoyment, as it probably would have made it better if we saw less of the killer and more of the investigation. 6/10

You must see The Man With No Name Trilogy, if you haven't already~
(A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly)

One of the most awesome trilogies ever imo~
Lionel Richie - "Running with the Night"
    Camel - "Lady Fantasy"
Type O Negative, Bad Brains, Madonna

    More:
    Dire Straits, Interpol, The Strokes

I've seen parts of all, but never the whole things. FoD and GBaU are on my DVR, just haven't got around to them yet.

I think my problem is I'm not a huge fan of Westerns. I like the older classics like 3:10 to Yuma (original, although remake was solid as well) or Bend of the River, so hopefully Leone will entertain me enough to want to watch all three of these in a row!

Yup! Should be fun~ Leone was a great director. I also recommend Once Upon A Time In The West and A Fistful of Dynamite (Duck, You Sucker)~ I still haven't seen Once Upon A Time in America or his first film though.

Last film I saw... well I'm in the middle of watching The Legend of Musashi (Samurai 1: Musashi Miyamoto)~~
as well as Dances With Wolves and The Sand Pebbles, both of which I've already seen.

Once Upon A Time in America is probably one of the few Leone films I've seen all the way through. It's ok, but looooooooong. Woods and DeNiro make it tolerable though.

Watched Evil Dead and Maltese Falcon this weekend. Not going to do my standard paragraph review as I've already seen them both before.
