I thought Captain America was well-adapted and uh... good.

I enjoyed Captain America, but the pacing was off (implying that no movie has worse pacing was a bit of a hyperbole on my part, of course). It was as if the team making the film went in, started filming all this back story for the character, then realized it took up a lot of the movie and had to fast-forward, in a sense, to the ending. Other than that, it was a solid Hollywood-style action movie. Acting ranged from strong to serviceable (no one was weak), filmography was very good, effects were good minus some rather weak scenes involving explosions/fire. I gave it a 3/5, and I stick by that rating.
I didn't notice too many problems with pacing or flow, in all honesty. It played out fine from my perspective.

I've seen a few lately... only micro reviews though, way too tired to really go into detail.
Reservoir Dogs: Fantastic film, fantastic debut. Not really much I can say about it, particularly because I'm about to fall asleep, but I actually enjoy it more than Pulp Fiction.
I Saw the Devil: Described it in another thread.
Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer: Oh man, this is an interesting film. Contains one scene that is absolutely horrifying, even though I'll admit my highly desensitized mind did not really register it until it was already over.
Deliverance: Did not enjoy it quite as much as I wanted to, but I did truly love aspects about it. I went in expecting to give it a 5 star, just because I loved the concept of it so much, but alas, I can only give it a 4 star.
Philadelphia: Not bad at all. Not really into court room drama's, but this one was fairly interesting.
Blow yer' harmonica son
I prefer Pulp Fiction to Reservoir Dogs mainly because I like the acting much better. Yeah, there are the scenes where Tarantino tries to act, but there are those in Reservoir Dogs as well, and compared to Chris Penn, Tarantino's performances are Academy Award-worthy. Pulp Fiction wins, though, as it has the best of Reservoir Dogs (Keitel, Roth), plus Jackson, Travolta, and Willis (and a brief, but awesome, scene with Walken).
I've never been trained in falling on grenades to protect my squadmates, but aren't you supposed to fall flat on top of them (to smother the blast), not curl around them in the fetal position?
Odd (And hopefully useless) Trivia:
If a grenade is tossed on a flat surface near you and you're unable to run or get to cover, it's best to go prone with your feet together, feet toward the grenade. The idea is:
1. Grenades blow up and out. Laying flat avoids the bulk of the concussive blast.
2. Any shrapnel that does fly in your direction has to travel through your feet and legs before it can damage any vital organs.

Thank you HMX!
If someone ever throws a grenade near me, I'll remember that.
So, Avengers was pretty fun and awesome. 3.5 / 5.0
