Alright just post your thoughts. I'm curious to know.
Although assuming I know at least a little bit about you I don't think you could not like it.

I watched The Dark Knight Rises. Spoilers below and stuff so don't read it?????????????
The foreshadowing was pretty ree ree. Autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot autopilot oh turns out this is foreshadowing for an incredibly crappy plot twist after the day is saved. I thought they just REALLY liked talking about autopilot everytime they noticed a plane. I'm surprised Bane didn't mutter something about autopilot when he hijacked the plane at the very beginning
Bane, I hated his voice, and I really don't think I'll be the last one saying that. The quality itself fluctuated between scenes and I had difficulty understanding him at times. On top of that he seemed to enunciate everything (probably because talking regularly would've caused roughly zero of his lines to be understandable), which caused his pitch to go all over the place in a really distracting manner. I dunno, I expected him to be menacing or professional, rather than the amused tone he had half the time. This wasn't the Joker's personality getting excited over manslaughter, this should've been Bane's professionalism. I may give his voice the benefit of the doubt due to morphine messing with it, but still, come on
I'm mad at myself for not recognizing Talia. I'm mad that I just accepted Random Accent Woman to be Wayne's love interest. Did she know that he was Batman? If she had, that would've been a great, thin foreshadow that I completely missed
Completely disappointed that they didn't have a fight with Killer Croc. The moment they found a body in the sewers I KNEW there would be a Croc fight, but it never came. Putting a fight with him in the sewer just before Bane broke Batman's back would've been wonderful. Just sub in Bane's fight with Croc's fight then plop in the backbreaker, and it would've been amazing. I really think they missed an opportunity by just making a joke with him
Catwoman was great. It would've been difficult to screw her up
Scarecrow's inclusion was great, though I feel like Calender Man would've been more appropriate in that scene (I actually thought it was Calender Man at first when all those papers were thrown around)
Giving the detective the name Robin makes things needlessly complicated and I'm afraid there will be plenty of people confused over whether he is the next Batman or the first Robin (it's clearly the former)
The best moment from the entire movie was when Talia was confessing her love to Bane while inadvertently dumping Bruce in the process, and Batman's standing there getting choked around the neck and makes the most confused 'buh?' noise and it's the most amazing reaction I've ever heard in my life. It was like he was more shocked about Talia dumping him than he was concerned about dying
Seriously though, Killer Croc, come on, I'm not happy, wasted opportunity, bleurgh
And those are my thoughts. I have class tomorrow, it is late and I am tired

I'm sorry, is that okay? You sure? Ha, alright. Okay. Sorry though
Looks like some psycho in Colorado just shot up a screening of DKR. 14 people are dead and early reports are up to 50 are wounded. They have someone in custody.
This is just sad.
While you guys got to see The Dark Knight Rises, I decided to fulfill by curiosity and watch that Top Cat movie the UK is mad about. I found it on YouTube, and thought "Hey, I'm not tired yet, and I have no money to see a real movie. Why not waste my time?"
And waste my time I did.
I know I said in WAYDRN that I wouldn't go too in-depth about it, but I can't sleep, so consider this a mini-review that's not going on my site.
To start things off, I had barely heard of Top Cat before this film's existence. I decided to watch some episodes beforehand to see what the source material was. It's 'ight for animation from that era. It's nothing more than sight gags and slapstick, though. But this film is nothing like the old cartoons.
Instead of an overabundance of perspective gags we get really outdated jokes and running gags as good as a root canal. As I said in WAYDRN, every joke could pretty much use a rimshot.
The animation is also a turn-off. I will be the first to admit to liking Flash animation. But I only like it when used right. This is obviously not used right. I'm not expecting Princess and the Frog quality from a small Mexican animation studio, but I would think that a Hannah Barbara property would be handled with much more care. There's a shot I wish I could show you where part of a character's model is missing. And the 3D element... blech! The beginning of the film has some perspective gags that look cool with this fashion of animation, but after that it looks awful. The entire time I was asking "So when will they start talking about what cereal can be a part of a balanced breakfast?"
I would go on about how the plot is rather lackluster, but this is a kid's film, and judging by the level of humor here, I don't expect the plot to be very engaging.
But the film itself wasn't as horrible as critics make it out to be. I didn't see the horrendous insult to our intelligence that I came to expect. This is just a film made to distract a kid for 80 minutes. And I've heard that the original Spanish version was less dumbed down. Maybe it's just another case of bad English dubbing. I seriously doubt there was a Windows Vista reference in the Spanish version. That's way too dated.
Again, this was a waste of my time. But this is the "Last Movie You've Seen" thread, so I may as well post my underwhelmed feelings here.
