I haven't been through all the pages but I haven't seen this mentioned yet from what I've viewed(sorry if this is has been asked).

Question: So we purchase a pack of batteries for 11.99(depending on where you live) and we get to download 1 song? Not a good deal in my eyes.

Fry's sells them for $6.99 here. Subtract the $1 coupons I keep getting and $2 of MS Points, and you have a completely different deal.

I would definitely agree that $11.99 would not be a great deal, though.

Yeah, $11.99 is ridiculous. I've found a 4-pack at a Circuit City (one of the ones that is closing) for $6.99, minus 20% made it $5.59. Then considering the PSN credit of $2.19, it wasn't too bad at all.

Sam's Club had a 12-pack of them for $14.99 with 2 DLC codes as well.

In that case, would you prefer purchasing a pack of batteries for $11.99 and getting no songs? Because you're sure being a tad whiny over free stuff.

I saw some Rock Band and Guitar Hero design MS Point cards at Target this weekend, so I'm not sure that it is that sinister. But, I've been wrong before

I think you're in the wrong forum.

When I used these in my drumset it messed them up. When I put regular batteries back it they work fine. When I put two of them in an xbox wireless controller it wouldn't even come on! Then I put one of them and one regular battery in instead and it worked. Really ironic that the official battery doesn't work with the product it's endorsing. I can't help but feel conned especially since, like the comment above I purchased them closeout from a Circuit City which is going out of business so I can't return them. NOT COOL!!
