No, it is not rotatable. Here's a bigger/better picture of that clamp:

doh, well thats not too bad actually, i can always clamp it onto the bar running across the back holding my pads/brain and mount my ride there.

i caved (again) and ordered a pintech 14"/16" to replace both my ion cymbals with, i have no issues with the sensitivity of the TC10 and love the noise (or lackof!) so much so i dont like hitting my ion cymbals now!

bloody expensive this is all getting, and i still need to get a bass drum practice pad yet!

Please let us know how the Pintech 14"-crash and 16"-ride work out for you. If you dig them as much as I dig the 10"-hi-hat, I might also cave (again).

I'm still missing the 10" target, and its worse when the stick gets caught under the cymbal while trying to recover. But I'm improving with practice, and learning the yellow cymbal-as-hi-hat (as opposed to yellow pad) is becoming more fun as I'm getting the hang of it.

Just to comment on the durability of Pintech TC's:

I've had 10" and 14" TC's on my Hart Dynamics Pro 6.4 kit for about two years, have beaten the living hell out of them, and they still work like they're brand new. The rubber pads have also held up nicely, and make these cymbals very quiet.

IMHO, great value for the money.

The only down side I can possibly see to these triggers is that they aren't chokable, but of course that doesn't matter when using them with the Ion kit anyway.

Wow, WWBW has very fast shipping! Mine just arrived today along with the SPC18. But it seems the cymbal is way too thin and spins. Will have to do some magic to get it right.

assuming they work fine on the aquarian springs, i cant see myself not loving them tbh.

i'm at the point where i really dont even want to hit the ion cymbals because i cant stand that deep thunk it produces. as soon as my pintech's arrive, the ion cymbals will share the same fate as the ion pedal: back in the box!

Yeah that seems to be happening with some of the boom arms. The felts that comes with them isn't sufficient to hold the Pintech still. I updated one of the first posts in this thread with the thick replacement felts that will do the trick

I ended up with 2 extra 10 inch Pintechs if anyone is having a hard time finding them. One is brand new in the plastic, the other is slightly used, but in perfect shape....Just pm me if you need one..

I will have to get those thicker felts for sure. Right now I just added some padding on top to make it more snug. So far it's working fine. I haven't tested it yet though. I'm thinking the 14" is a bit too big for the Hi-Hat. I think I will need a 10" one for that.

Can't seem to PM. I'm interested if you're willing to ship to Canada.

i've found the surface at the bottom of the gilbratar SC-CLBA's wingnut is too small and doesnt have any way of pushing even a thicker felt into the cymbal without one of the coloured discs to act as a glorfied washer!

maybe a rubber disc of some sort above/under the cymbal will stop spinning?
